How the Rankings are calculated:

There is an 8 coach panel that votes every week on the top 10. Points are awarded for each vote.

1st Place = 20 points

2nd Place = 18 Points

all the way down to:

10th Place = 2 points

The total points for each team are added up and the rankings are based on those totals.

Sometimes the coaches agree, sometimes the panel has wildly differing opinions.

1 (1) St. Francis

19-2

The Lancers won the Harker Tournament and have put down every challenger for the last two weeks. The showdown at Bellarmine on Thursday looms large.
2 (2) Bellarmine 11-1 Thursday. Payback against St. Francis in front of the home crowd? The Charger Classic will also show the rest of CCS that the Bells are still for real.
3 (3) Homestead 14-2 They slid by Los Gatos to grab a commanding lead in the SCVAL. Can you say 4 consecutive league titles? How will they fare at the Charger Classic.
4 (5) Harker 16-1 Lost to St. Francis in their own tournament finals and have ripped through the PSAL. How will they fare this weekend?
5 (4) Valley Christian 14-6 They won the Willow Glen Tournamnet but then fell flat at Chico. Can they redeem themselves at the Charger Classic?
6 (6) Aptos 16-2 In full command of the SCCAL and should win the league title easily. They host Leland on Wednesday and then play the Charger Classic on Sat.
7 (8) Leland 8-9 Strong showing in 4 game loss to St. Francis and then defeated Westmont to grab lead in BVAL. They face Aptos on Wed and then host the Charger Classic.
8 (9) Saratoga 14-5 They played extremely well and came in 2nd at the Campbell Classic, then rolled over Los Gatos in 3 games to grab second place in the SCVAL.
9 (NR) Seaside 19-5 The CCS shooting stars have stolen the TCAL lead from Monterey, won the San Francisco Invitational, and have won 19 matches while no one was looking.
10 (12) Serra 17-8 Dominated at the Campbell Classic and won the title and then lost in the finals to Seaside at the SF Invitational. How will they do at the Charger Classic with tougher competition?
11 (7) Los Gatos 8-6 Tough losses to Homestead and Saratoga have the Wildcats in unfamiliar territory, 3rd place in the SCVAL.
12 (13) Westmont 17-5 Lost a close one to Leland to fall to second in the BVAL but their high powered offense is dangerous for any team in CCS.
13 (11) Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep 12-8 They lost to Seaside in the SF Invitational but this WCAL team is dangerous every time out because of their great ball control and defense.
14 (10) Mitty 6-5 Won their pool and then lost to Foothill at the SF Invitational. Mitty is still an unknown to most of the CCS. We'll see if they can impress at the Charger Classic.
15 (15) Monterey 9-5 Slipped in loss to surging Seaside. Can they regain their footing and take a share of the TCAL title? They will also be tested in a tough pool at the Charger Classic.
